In accordance with the Hong Kong Education Bureau’s Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide, our curriculum framework is designed based on our children’s comprehensive development and learning interests. To achieve a comprehensive and balanced development, our child-centered curriculum not only practices the thematic and project approaches, but also covers six learning areas, including physical fitness and health, language, early childhood mathematics, nature and living, self and society as well as arts and creativity. Through injecting the elements of free exploration, discussion and excursion as well as staging a pleasurable learning environment, our school aims to expand our children’s knowledge, nurture our children to be proactive and inquisitive in learning, and cultivate our children with teamwork ethos and problem-solving skill. Also, our school places equal importance on moral development that regular moral education will be organized to nurture in our children positive values and attitudes.
Every child’s learning effectiveness will be recorded in his/ her own established profile through continuous observation in daily learning activities and performance in school. Simultaneously, different activities are held to strengthen the bonding and communication with parents. For example, parent-teacher meetings, talks, workshops, an orientation day and parent-child activities. Through parent-teacher cooperation, a child’s learning progress will be better understood and a much more appropriate counseling could be provided.
